We are looking for a Project Development Buyer who will report to the Development Buying and Sourcing Team Lead and who'll be tasked with developing new products for our apparel and protective gear categories. As part of your role, you'll have a major impact on the organization's growth. You'll be at the forefront of expanding BRP's product portfolio, leveraging your supply chain expertise and the development of business partnerships with our suppliers.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Be an active participant in the development process of new apparel and/or protective gear, collaborating with the engineering, design and development teams, the quality department, and strategic suppliers.

  • Manage projects by contributing during the development from prototyping, fitting, testing and approval process before mass production begins. More specifically, you will be responsible for establishing and optimizing the development timeline and ensuring its timely delivery for production launch.

  • To develop and maintain the network of production, manufacturing, and service suppliers based on project requirements, quality standards, timelines, capabilities, and budget.

  • Negotiate and adhere to various agreements with suppliers (regarding delivery times, cost structure, raw material fluctuations, exchange rates, etc.).

  • Work hand-in-hand with design, development and product line management teams to keep informed of project status, changes, risks, supplier performance, and key decisions needed throughout the end-to-end development process.

  • Manage the budget for your portfolio of products under development and regularly update cost prices.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and project management Essential bilingualism (French/English), both oral and written, is required as the person in this role will represent BRP with international suppliers.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP systems (SAP an asset);

  • Have a curiosity or experience with the development and negotiation of technical riding apparel and gear

  • Have a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in a relevant field (supply chain, administration/engineering, or other related fields).
