Mission

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Cost Accounting - Approximately 80% of Your Time
• Monitor daily integrity control reports to ensure the accuracy of product costs.
• Process requests for cost additions or modifications and analyze requests for storage type changes.
• Review product Bills of Materials (BOMs), identify discrepancies, and perform required corrections or coordinate follow-up with the appropriate teams.
• Collaborate with various departments based on the nature of the corrections required.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and perform special projects related to cost accounting.
• At month-end, prepare reports and journal entries related to inventory, agency fees, freight expenses, work-in-progress (WIP), and cost variances.
General Accounting - Approximately 20% of Your Time
• During the monthly close process, record journal entries related to prepaid expenses.
• Perform bank reconciliations for both Canadian dollar and foreign currency accounts.
• Update various tracking and reporting schedules.
• Generate financial performance reports for various departments.
Annual Activities
• Actively participate in the annual review and update of standard costs from September through January.
• Actively participate in the preparation of the annual audit file in April.

Your profile

WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA designation (an asset).
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, including experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and cost accounting.
• Experience with an ERP system (JDE is considered an asset).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, as you will interact with various stakeholders across the organization.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Organized, resourceful, and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
