Farm Worker

Job Purpose

Under the general direction of the Farm Supervisors, the Farm Worker is responsible for performing jobs that include crop work, picking, packing, fall cleanup and other minor greenhouse work. The incumbent will also partake in training to further their knowledge in greenhouse production and worker safety.

Job Requirements

Responsible for the overall quality, speed, productivity, and efficiency of their work.
Responsible for working within guidelines of the Company. and associated company policies
Learn skills to efficiently perform greenhouse crop work duties such as: Twisting, Pruning, Fruit Pruning, Deleafing, Picking, Lowering, etc.
Assist with identifying pests in the greenhouse for the IPM staff and supervisors
Accurate & consistent punch in/out of the i2i Labour tracking system
Assist with the year-end fall clean-up duties such as: Removing old plants, substrate removal, washing of facility, plastic removal, and setup greenhouse for the following years crop.
Work on the pepper and cucumber packing lines as needed. Jobs include quality checks, filling boxes on the scales, box stacking, VA packing etc.
Minor farm equipment preventive maintenances.
Adhere to and the environmental, health & safety policies of the Company.
Follow the Company policies to help create a safe, healthy, and positive working environment for all staff.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
