I am currently recruiting for an EHS Specialist to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing company located in Montreal.
Mission
Your Role
Reporting to the Quality, Health & Safety department, you will play a hands-on role in risk prevention, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
You will work closely with Production, Maintenance and Quality teams to integrate EHS requirements into daily operations and promote a strong safety culture.
Your Responsibilities :
Support the development and improvement of EHS policies, procedures and programs.
Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate EHS training such as WHMIS, lockout/tagout, PPE, ergonomics and confined spaces.
Maintain EHS documentation and regulatory records.
Support emergency preparedness plans and preventive measures.
Contribute to environmental management activities involving waste, chemicals, emissions, water and related requirements.
Participate in internal audits and regulatory inspections.
Work closely with Production, Maintenance and Quality teams to integrate EHS requirements into daily operations.
Promote a strong culture of prevention, accountability and compliance on the production floor.
Working Conditions :
Permanent full-time position.
Day shift.
Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 depending on experience.

Your profile
We are looking for a hands-on, organized and autonomous professional who is comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
College or university degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environment or a related field.
5 to 10 years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
Good knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and practices, particularly CNESST and WHMIS.
Experience with EHS inspections, audits, risk assessments and documentation.
Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.
Proactive approach with a strong continuous improvement mindset.
Strong ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
Pharmaceutical or GMP experience is an asset.
First Aid training or additional EHS certifications are an asset.
