As a Mechanical Foreman at Dubé, you'll lead and supervise a team of mechanics and welders on the job site under the supervision of the General Mechanical Foreman, while planning maintenance and repairs in collaboration with the project manager. It also means being responsible for sourcing the parts needed for operations, tackling challenges by the ton, experiencing the excitement of a young, dynamic team, and contributing to a positive work environment.
Status: Full-time permanent position, to start as soon as possible

Work location: Akasaba West Project near Val-d'Or
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement health, safety, and quality standards, ensuring that all regulatory and internal requirements are met;
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance and repair work on a fleet of heavy equipment;
- Work closely with the general mechanical foreman, mechanics, and operations foremen to optimize the planning and performance of mechanical operations;
- Oversee subcontractors, human resources, and internal policies related to personnel management (onboarding, training, disciplinary actions, etc.);
- Guide, train, and support the existing team to ensure the quality and safety of mechanical and welding work;
- Monitor repairs performed externally by suppliers;
- Maintain a strong team spirit and a collaborative atmosphere with the mechanics under your supervision;
- Manage the procurement of parts needed for the job site and track their status;
- Communicate daily with the team to gather information regarding health and safety, best work practices, and site activities;
- Track and compile daily job site reports;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and the integration of new technologies;
- Effectively manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously;
- Perform any other related administrative tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the construction site.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in heavy equipment mechanics in the mining industry;
- DEP in construction equipment or heavy-duty truck mechanics;
- Valid driver's license;
- Valid general explosives license;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to share knowledge with the team;
- Basic computer skills to complete daily reports;
- High level of versatility, resourcefulness, independence, and strong team spirit.
