Assistant General Counsel About the Company Prominent industrial company Industry Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing Type Public Company About the Role The Company is in search of an Associate General Counsel to join its legal leadership team. This senior corporate lawyer will have the opportunity to operate at the highest levels of the organization, providing strategic legal advice to executive leadership and the Board, and leading significant strategic transactions. The role also involves shaping governance, compliance, and risk management across the global enterprise. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor on corporate governance, securities disclosure, and board matters, and will play a central role in major corporate transactions and special projects. Beyond transactional work, the role includes providing strategic commercial advisory and championing governance best practices and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate for this role at The Company will have over 15 years' of corporate and commercial legal experience, with a strong background in public company governance, securities law, and complex cross-border transactions. They should be a strategic thinker with strong executive presence, capable of leading complex negotiations and mentoring junior legal team members. Membership in good standing with a Canadian law society is a requirement.
