Job Details:
ICO Group Ltd is a company providing technical materials and tools used in construction, including high quality abrasives, polishing compounds, pneumatic hand tools, and protective maintenance aerosol products.
We are currently looking to hire one (1) full-time (30-40 hours per week) Sales Specialist to join our team of professionals. The successful candidate will be able to work in a physical work setting from our work site in Mississauga, Ontario.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Sell an assortment of specialized construction materials and equipment, such as abrasives, polishing compounds, pneumatic hand tools, and protective aerosols, to wholesale distributors and industrial businesses.
-Promote sales to existing clients, including wholesale distributors and industrial end-users.
-Build and strengthen long-term relationships with wholesale distributors and direct end-users in the construction industry, supplying construction materials and tools to steel fabrication and welding clients to support repeat business and account retention.
- Represent the company in importing products and expanding export opportunities in foreign markets.
-Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction supply sector,researching and contacting prospective hardware stores, supply houses, and industrial end-users who could benefit from company's construction materials and tools.
-Evaluate client operational requirements in construction and fabrication environments and recommend suitable construction materials and tools from ICO Group's technical product line, negotiating pricing, volume terms, and supply arrangements to close sales.
-Consult with clients on specific abrasive formulations and technical specifications based on their equipment needs.
-Create sales presentations, proposals, and technical materials including product demonstrations and comparison sheets to communicate the performance advantages of company's construction materials and tools to prospective and existing clients.
-Calculate cost estimates for the supply and use of products, helping clients budget effectively based on production volume and usage patterns.
- Draft and manage sales agreements and maintain accurate client account records,ensuring pricing structures, delivery terms, and account histories are properly documented for both distributor and end-user channels in the construction supply chain.
- Deliver after-sales support by addressing client concerns, coordinating replacements or corrective actions, and maintaining ongoing communication to ensure customer satisfaction with products post-purchase.
-Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of the full construction materials and tools portfolio to confidently answer client questions and advise on correct product applications within the construction industry.
-Design, execute, and report on regional sales strategies for construction materials and tools, including trade show participation and exhibition planning, to generate qualified
leads, expand market share, and meet revenue targets across Canadian construction market.
-Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and market shifts within the construction supply sector, staying attuned to emerging opportunities in the broader construction industry to adjust sales approach accordingly.
Requirements:
- Work experience: not less than 2 years of relevant work experience is preferred
- Language: English
- Education: College diploma
