Are you passionate about planning, coordinating, and optimizing manufacturing operations? We're looking for an organized and proactive individual to join our team at Soucy. In this key role, you'll be responsible for production planning to optimize resource utilization and manufacturing capacity, while ensuring the supply of a specific commodity needed for our operations.

You will monitor inventory levels, manage purchase orders according to technical specifications, and coordinate the associated logistics. Working closely with the production, engineering, procurement, and logistics teams, you will help ensure smooth operations and help us meet our delivery, quality, and cost objectives.

This position will also allow you to participate in continuous improvement projects and play an important role in optimizing our processes and the company's overall performance.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Plan production to optimize resource utilization and manufacturing capacity
  • Plan purchases of a specific commodity, issue purchase orders in accordance with technical specifications, and coordinate the associated logistics
  • Communicate with and follow up with various teams regarding schedule changes and their impact on operations
  • Manage inventory levels using the ERP system (Syteline) to ensure the availability of required materials and components
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing processes, work methods, and operational performance
  • Take charge of project management by preparing the required documents (project mandates, action plans, follow-ups), coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to established timelines
  • Analyze procurement and production needs to support the achievement of delivery, quality, and cost objectives
  • Work closely with the purchasing, production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure effective planning of operations

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you will thrive in this role:

  • Hold a college degree in planning or supply chain management, with a specialization in operations and production management (OPM) or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Bilingual (French and English, both spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills
