An Estate Administrator at Solus Trust Company manages the administration and settlement of estates while providing support to beneficiaries, executors, advisors, and internal trust teams. The role involves coordinating estate documentation, processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring estates are administered efficiently while meeting legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with Trust Officers, legal professionals, financial advisors, and estate beneficiaries, the Estate Administrator helps deliver professional, compliant, and client-focused estate services.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily estate administration activities from initial setup through final settlement.
Prepare, organize, and maintain estate documents, records, and regulatory filings.
Coordinate probate applications, tax documentation, and estate-related paperwork.
Communicate with beneficiaries, executors, lawyers, financial institutions, and government agencies.
Process estate transactions including payments, distributions, fees, and account adjustments.
Maintain accurate estate accounting records and transaction documentation.
Assist with asset collection, valuation, and transfer processes.
Monitor estate timelines and ensure required actions are completed on schedule.
Support Trust Officers with complex estate and trust administration matters.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and fiduciary standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in estate administration, trust services, banking, wealth management, or financial operations.
Knowledge of estate settlement processes, probate procedures, and financial documentation.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information.
Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a professional services environment.
