An IT Project Manager at Jefferies Canada leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of technology projects that support investment banking, capital markets, trading platforms, and corporate operations. Working closely with technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and senior leadership, you'll ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with security, compliance, and business goals.

This role manages initiatives including application upgrades, infrastructure improvements, cloud projects, cybersecurity programs, system implementations, and technology enhancements within a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end IT projects from planning and execution through delivery and post-implementation support.
Define project scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, resources, and success criteria.
Collaborate with technology teams, business users, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
Coordinate software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and system enhancements.
Track project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership.
Ensure technology projects meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, project meetings, and stakeholder communications.
Manage vendor relationships and third-party technology partners.
Support continuous improvement of IT processes, governance, and delivery practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience managing IT projects, preferably within financial services, banking, capital markets, or fintech.
Experience delivering software development, infrastructure, cloud, or cybersecurity projects.
Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project methodologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of project governance, budgeting, risk management, and reporting.
