A Mobile Developer at Intact Financial Corporation designs, develops, and maintains secure mobile applications that support digital insurance experiences for customers, brokers, and internal teams. Working closely with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, QA specialists, and business stakeholders, you'll build reliable and user-friendly mobile solutions that improve how customers access insurance services, manage policies, submit claims, and interact with Intacts digital platforms.

This role focuses on creating high-quality mobile applications while ensuring strong performance, security, accessibility, and compliance within a regulated financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
Build intuitive, responsive, and secure mobile user experiences.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend developers, and QA teams to deliver innovative features.
Develop and integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and backend services.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following mobile development best practices.
Optimize application performance, stability, and overall user experience.
Implement mobile security practices including authentication, encryption, and data protection.
Troubleshoot and resolve mobile application issues across various devices and operating systems.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and mobile architecture improvements.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes.
Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and recommend development improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
Strong experience building iOS and/or Android applications.
Proficiency in mobile programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, Java, or Dart.
Experience with mobile frameworks including React Native, Flutter, or SwiftUI.
Experience integrating REST APIs, SDKs, and third-party services.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
