Evening Operations Supervisor

GLS Canada is a major Canadian shipping and logistics company. They provide coast-to-coast parcel, freight, and warehousing services. JDT refers to their dedicated, partner-operated trucking and linehaul services.

The Evening Operations Supervisor at GLS Canada is a full-time management role that oversees warehouse and transportation operations during the evening shift, ensuring parcels are sorted and dispatched safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Typical responsibilities include:
Supervising warehouse employees, drivers, and support staff.
Planning daily staffing and assigning work.
Meeting parcel sorting and shipping deadlines.
Ensuring accurate, error-free sorting and loading.
Monitoring employee attendance and working hours.
Preparing daily operational reports.
Ensuring warehouse equipment is used safely and efficiently.
Maintaining health, safety, and company procedures.
Solving operational issues during the shift.

Requirements:
3 5 years of supervisory experience.
Experience in transportation, logistics, or warehousing (preferred).
Leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Intermediate English and French (for Quebec positions).
Valid driver's licence; forklift certification is an asset.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; AS400 experience is an advantage.
