Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join our cardiovascular imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic imaging techniques, with a focus on delivering precise and detailed echocardiographic assessments. As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Cardiac Sonographer will perform advanced ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing and evaluating cardiac conditions and contributing to patient care within a dynamic clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms to evaluate cardiac structure and function with accuracy and attention to detail.
Collaborate closely with cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate diagnostic evaluations
Maintain comprehensive documentation of imaging results, ensuring clarity for interpretation by physicians.
Follow Policies and Procedures as set out by the institute and accreditation guidelines
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to cardiac imaging and diagnostics.
Stay current with advancements in sonography technology and requirements of Accreditation Canada to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
Qualifications
Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer
Proven experience performing echocardiography with the use of image enhancing agents
IV insertion skills preferred
Familiarity with physiology principles, vital signs assessment, and aseptic techniques essential for invasive procedures.
Comprehensive understanding of anatomy relevant to cardiac structures and pathology.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
