Red Seal Sprinkler Fitter (Min 5 Yrs Exp in Fire Protection)

Pacific Western Fire Protection (2017) Ltd. has been servicing fire suppression and life safety systems throughout British Columbia for over 25 years.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Red Seal Sprinkler Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting, servicing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems, along with a strong understanding of NFPA standards and fire life safety requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA codes and standards
Perform inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems and other building fire life safety equipment
Accurately document deficiencies and generate detailed digital inspection reports
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire protection systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system layouts
Communicate effectively with clients, office staff, and team members to ensure project success
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

REQUIREMENTS:

Red Seal Sprinkler Fitter (IP) Certification
Minimum of 3 years of Journeyman experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection sprinkler fitting
Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team
Valid driver's licence
Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance

ASSETS (Preferred but not required):

Experience completing system inspections and preparing reports
Experience with ServiceTrade software
Strong technical ability, including using tablets/iPads for digital reporting
Valid backflow certification (BCWWA)
