Pre-sales specialist network architecture

Position Summary

Build a trusted advisor relationship with senior architects and internal contributors (sales, pre-sales, delivery, etc.) by supporting them in preparing solution presentation materials based on customer needs. Serve as a reference for architects regarding internal processes related to pre-sales activities, such as WAN link validation, technical document provisioning, and change request management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research to determine network availability.
• Develop a high-level equipment list and design architecture for new solutions.
• Create functional design solutions based on vendor products.
• Stay up to date on new technologies, refresh or obtain certifications, and compare available solutions.

Knowledge and Skills

• Basic: Business and management skills.
• Strong: Organization and time management, analytical and problem-solving skills, collaboration, autonomy, initiative, flexibility, innovation, ability to influence.
• Excellent: Customer relationship management, written and verbal communication, decision-making, stress management, understanding team dynamics, attention to detail.

Education and Experience

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Interest and/or experience in LAN/WAN/Wireless/Security/Server technologies.
• Ability to collaborate with architects and internal teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.

Additional Information

This role is an excellent stepping stone toward a Junior Architect position. It provides exposure to tools used by architects and offers learning opportunities across multiple technologies, including networking, collaboration, security, cloud, IoT, and data center.
