Our client is a leading manufacturing organisation with in-house engineering capabilities for custom-built machinery parts. They have a job open for Production Manager / Fabrication Manager for their low volume, specialty custom-made machine parts plant with 70-80 associates (approx.) in a 22-shiftoperation, in Mississauga - Brampton, ON area. This is a hands-on leadership proving leadership to machinists, welders, fabricators and similar, be fully responsible for process flow for each project and ensure material and labor availability. 10+ years in leading fabrication shops under Canadian H&S requirements is a MUST have.

Production Manager / Fabrication Manager (custom fabrication )is fully responsible for giving leadership to the plant shop floor -Machining, Cutting, bending welding within this custom fabrication plant and be responsible for Production Flow, Planning, scheduling, Material Planning and supervise processes in Machining , Cutting, Bending, Welding and similar. You will be responsible for scheduling, safety, performance management, coaching and mentoring. You will work closely with suppliers for material flow, shipping to ensure on time delivery.

Production Manager / Fabrication Manager (custom fabrication ) will ideally have a 10+ years as welder/ welder fitter/ machinist with 10+ years as shop foreman / Plant Manager / Production Manager within the Canadian Health & Safety requirements in custom made (MUST) machining welding metal fabrication shop. Hands-on welding experience as welder (TIG) with leadership / management/ team lead experience highly preferred.
