Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Jira Cloud Administrator to support one of the largest Atlassian Cloud environments ( 30,000 users). The role involves administration, configuration, and ongoing support of Jira Cloud, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, and related Atlassian tools.
You will leverage expertise in ScriptRunner, Python, and Git/GitHub to automate workflows, resolve issues, and ensure system performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large Jira Cloud instances and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Note: This is an on-call position.
Skills Required
- Python, GitHub, Jira: Proficient in building scripts leveraging REST API calls.
- GitHub: Experience with pull requests, branching, and Git fundamentals.
- Jira: Skilled in configuring workflows, custom fields, permission schemes, and issue-level security.
- Identity Management: Experience integrating with Azure/Entra or other identity providers.
- Customer Collaboration: Experience in configuring and supporting JSM service desks.
Skills Preferred
- Prior experience working within a Service Desk environment using JSM for ticket triage and resolution.
Experience Required
- 3+ years of hands-on Jira Cloud administration, including Jira Service Management (JSM).
- Experience managing Atlassian Cloud environments with 5,000+ users (preferably 10,000+).
- Administration experience with Atlassian Analytics, Jira Product Discovery, and Compass.
- Proficiency in Confluence administration and Jira integration.
- Strong scripting skills using ScriptRunner and Python.
- Practical experience with Git/GitHub workflows and version control.
- Experience providing on-call support for enterprise-scale Atlassian environments.
Experience Preferred
- Atlassian Forge app development exposure.
- Experience with large-scale Atlassian Cloud migrations or consolidations.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Access and enterprise user management.
- Knowledge of SAML SSO, Okta, Azure AD, and other identity integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Atlassian Marketplace apps and advanced Jira automation tools.
- Understanding of ITIL and service management frameworks.
- Exposure to Cloud-to-Cloud migrations, incident/change management, and security best practices.
- Experience training or onboarding users/admins.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Atlassian Insight/Assets, and monitoring tools (Opsgenie, PagerDuty).
- Experience working in distributed or remote teams.
