Marketing Lead (Contract 12 Months)

The Marketing Lead reports to the Director, Marketing & Communications and works closely with the Marketing & Communications team to develop and execute marketing strategies for all OntarioMD products, services, events, and other initiatives. The role involves developing innovative, creative marketing strategies, managing marketing activities, overseeing all marketing operations, and maintaining relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders. This is a 12 month contract role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an annual marketing plan and effective marketing strategies, leveraging innovative tools and trends to increase brand awareness.
- Create new and original strategies for campaigns to promote products and services based on each initiative's marketing plan.
- Assist the Manager, Events with event marketing activities (CRM emails, marketing materials).
- Monitor and analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead the development of engaging marketing materials, including brochures and press releases.
- Coordinate and manage marketing and promotional activities.
- Work with the Digital Marketing Specialist to incorporate social media into broader campaigns, providing engaging content.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Manage the marketing activities budget.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
- Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Submit ads and articles to the OMA and external publications.
- Distribute collateral to clinicians and Client Service and Engagement teams.
- Contribute analytics data for the Marketing & Communications monthly KPI report.
- Stay abreast of trends in marketing strategy, social media, SEO, etc.
- Understand and comply with Canadian Anti Spam Legislation (CASL).
- Apply Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requirements to website content.
- Apply OntarioMD's Brand Guidelines and communications protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Post secondary education in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional marketing experience.
- Proven track record of developing and executing effective marketing strategies to increase brand awareness.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Dynamics CRM, and other applicable software.
- Excellent writing, editing, and oral presentation skills.
- Strong ability to write in varied styles and media.
- Advanced knowledge of social media platforms, SEO, website optimization and other marketing channels.
- Ability to distill complex subject matter into plain language and assess trends.
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills for building respectful, productive relationships.
- Research, project management skills and commitment to task completion.
- Critical thinking skills and awareness of political environment and sensitivities.
- Attention to detail, organization and time management skills.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) and CMS (assets).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and legislation (AODA).
- Knowledge of the digital health landscape.
- Experience in health care and/or technology sectors preferred.
- Experience in public sector or broader public sector is an asset.
