Overview
We are seeking Certified Dental Assistant to join the Sechelt Dental Centre. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team with various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed - intraoral and CBCT/Panoramic
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the dental software system.
Manage patient flow efficiently.
Ensure the sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
Handle administrative tasks, including managing inventory of dental supplies.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Certified Dental Assistant - currently registered with the BCCOHP
Familiarity with dental software such as Dentally is an advantage.
Positive attitude and team player
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Experience in implants and orthodontics are an asset
The ability to treatment plan and coordinate, discuss treatment options with patients is an asset
