Job Title: Structural or Mechanical Assembler (Level 2 & 3) - Aerospace

About the Role
Our client, a reputable aerospace manufacturer based in Mississauga, is seeking experienced Structural or Mechanical Assemblers (Level 2 & 3) to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural or mechanical assembly of aircraft components and subassemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Carry out fitting, drilling, reaming, riveting, sealing, torquing, and installation of various hardware and fasteners.
- Assemble and install components made from aluminum, composite, or titanium materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and process documents accurately.
- Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring instruments safely and effectively.
- Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve assembly challenges.
- Maintain adherence to safety, 5S, and lean manufacturing practices.
Qualifications
- 2-7 years of experience in aerospace structural or mechanical assembly (Level 2: 2-4 years Level 3: 5-7 years).
- Strong knowledge of aerospace assembly methods and quality requirements.
- Ability to read complex technical drawings and perform precise fitting and alignment.
- Proficiency with assembly and measuring tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred
- Experience in airframe or major structural subassemblies.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards and lean manufacturing principles.
- Previous experience with composite structures or precision mechanical systems.
