Job Summary We are hiring a Shipper/Receiver to work with one of our clients in Brantford who designs and manufactures telecom products for military and commercial use!

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Job Location: Brantford, ON. 100% on-site.

Compensation Structure: $24.44/hour + excellent benefits

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and executing all incoming and outgoing shipments, including scheduling, documentation, inspection and material handling.
• Prepare all required documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, customs forms and shipping labels
• Manual loading and unloading materials coming in or materials to be shipped out.
• Communicate shipment status and tracking information to Sales as required.
• Schedule shipments to ensure orders are received per customer requests.
• Operate forklift, hand truck and other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods, recording shortages and rejecting non-conforming goods.
• Train, direct and assist any new employees within the Shipping/Receiving Department.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 education. Post secondary education in logistics or supply chain is an asset.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have a valid forklift certification
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping practices.
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory control.
• Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience working in a 5S, Lean or ISO certified environment is an asset.
• Job involves lifting up to 50 lbs.
