Investor Relations' mandate is to communicate the Bank's financial performance and strategy to the investment community.

The Director, Investor Relations (IR) plays a key role in communicating the Bank's financial performance and strategy to analysts, investors, and rating agencies. This includes preparing, reviewing, and delivering presentation materials and messaging, as well as managing relationships with stakeholders including Executive Management, business units, analysts, institutional investors, and rating agencies.

The role requires strong Excel skills, including financial modeling, attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to train and support team members in these areas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing quarter-end reporting and contributing to external and internal deliverables.
  • Managing the quarter-end process, requiring strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Liaising with other departments and managing large volumes of information.
  • Leading relationships with rating agencies and preparing related materials.
  • Participating in conferences, roadshows, and corporate communications.
  • Overseeing team activities and ensuring accurate and concise communication of financial estimates and results.
  • Supporting organizational and stakeholder communication efforts related to corporate developments.
  • Fostering a customer-focused culture and ensuring compliance with risk and operational standards.

Qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or capital markets, preferably within Canadian banking.
  • CPA, CA, MBA, CFA, or equivalent designations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and financial analysis skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation, and disclosure.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet, or CapIQ is an asset.
