Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Plumbing, Gas & Hydronic Foreman to lead our mechanical team on an 8-storey residential apartment project in Calgary. The ideal candidate will have proven high-rise experience and be able to oversee all aspects of plumbing, gas fitting, and hydronic heating installations from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily work of plumbing, gas, and hydronic installation crews.

Interpret and work from blueprints, specifications, and project drawings.

Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.

Ensure installations comply with Alberta Building Code, Plumbing & Gas Codes, and safety regulations.

Oversee quality control for all mechanical systems.

Coordinate with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to avoid delays.

Troubleshoot on-site issues and provide technical guidance.

Track materials, labor hours, and completed work for reporting.

Qualifications:

Journeyman Plumber & Gasfitter (Class B) certification in Alberta (or Red Seal equivalent).

Proven hands-on high-rise experience in plumbing, gas, and hydronic heating systems.

Minimum 5 years as a Foreman or Lead Hand in multi-storey residential projects.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.

Safety training certifications (CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid) preferred.
