CEFS is a private institution committed to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for young children. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Chef/Cook to join our team and create healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals and snacks for our students aged 1 to 5.

Job Description :
As our Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for preparing daily meals and snacks that support the health and well-being of up to 120 children. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, and dedicated to providing meals that are both nutritious and appealing to young children. You will also work closely with the school staff to ensure that all dietary needs and preferences are met.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare healthy, well-balanced meals and snacks for children ages 1 to 5.
Plan weekly menus that are both nutritious and age-appropriate.
Ensure that all food is prepared following health and safety guidelines.
Manage food inventory, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Work with school staff to monitor children's food preferences and adjust menus accordingly.
Keep accurate records of food preparation, inventory, and meal planning.

Qualifications :

Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar culinary role, ideally in a childcare or educational setting.
Passion for preparing healthy, nutritious, and child-friendly meals.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to manage food inventory and ensure proper portion control.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Creative and adaptable, with a positive attitude.
Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Previous experience working with young children is a plus.
