Job Summary
Kandrea is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Industrial Construction Labourer with specific general construction, utilidoor, and/or insulation experience to join our team. This position plays a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of utilidoors across a variety of construction projects.
We're looking for individuals with strong work ethics, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to obtain and maintain the following safety certifications: CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, Fall Protection, H2S Alive, First Aid
Must be able to pass: Drug and Alcohol Test and Mask Fit Test
Willingness and ability to travel throughout Alberta and British Columbia
Job Responsibilities
Assist the General Foreman with daily tasks related to utilidoor installation, insulation, and general industrial construction activities
Support the setup, maintenance, and teardown of work areas, ensuring tools and materials are available and organized
Follow instructions to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently
Help perform measurements, material handling, and preparation for installations or repairs
Operate hand and power tools under supervision and in accordance with safety standards
Assist in inspecting work areas and reporting hazards, defects, or required maintenance to the Foreman
Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to all company safety and housekeeping policies
Participate in tool and equipment checks, inventory control, and basic maintenance as directed
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow
Contribute to a safety-first culture by actively identifying and reporting unsafe conditions
Skills
Strong understanding or willingness to learn construction practices, particularly related to utilidoor systems
Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively
High attention to detail to ensure quality and compliance
Familiarity with industry safety standards and practices or willingness to learn
Experience in insulation and/or scaffolding is considered an asset
Working Conditions
Frequent lifting, bending, and climbing
Exposure to various industrial and construction environments (indoor and outdoor)
Use of ladders, scaffolding, and trade-related tools and equipment
Working in confined spaces and at heights
Handling and working with WHMIS-regulated materials
Use of specialized PPE such as respirators, coveralls, and safety glasses
Frequent travel across Alberta and British Columbia depending on project locations
Work may involve extended hours, weekends, and variable schedules depending on project needs

Travel required for site-based work across Alberta and BC
