Chica's Chicken is Winnipeg's go-to spot for bold, flavor-packed fried chicken and southern comfort food. As we grow, we're looking for a hands-on, experienced Restaurant Manager to take charge of day-to-day operations and lead a young, energetic team.
What You'll Do:
Operational Management
Oversee all daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations
Manage opening and closing procedures, cash reconciliation, and daily reporting
Ensure cleanliness, food safety, and health standards at all times
Ensure food quality
Monitor food and labor costs; implement strategies to control waste and boost efficiency
Team Leadership
Lead and motivate a team of cooks, cashiers, and prep staff (8-15 team members)
Handle scheduling, shift coverage, onboarding, and staff training
Conduct regular performance check-ins and corrective coaching
Foster a respectful and accountable team culture
Customer Service
Respond to customer feedback, in-store complaints, and online reviews
Ensure orders are prepared to standard, on time, every time
Represent the brand with professionalism and hospitality
Inventory & Vendor Management
Track stock levels and place orders with approved suppliers
Conduct weekly inventory counts and manage food waste
Coordinate deliveries and resolve any order discrepancies
Franchise & Owner Communication
Act as the main point of contact between ownership and staff
Submit daily/weekly reports to the owner on sales, labor, and key issues
Implement any franchise directives or campaigns
What We're Looking For:
Required Experience
Minimum 2-3 years as a manager or supervisor in a quick-service or fast-casual restaurant
Strong knowledge of food safety (Safe Food Handling certified preferred)
Proven ability to manage teams, solve problems, and hit operational targets
Skills & Attributes
Leadership with a firm but fair approach
Excellent time management and multitasking ability
Clear communicator with strong attention to detail
Tech-savvy with POS systems, scheduling software, and spreadsheets
