JOB DESCRIPTION

The Overhead Door / Loading Dock Lead Hand Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, testing, diagnosing and isolating equipment faults. This is a physically demanding and detail-oriented job. You must also have a professional and courteous demeanor. Union rates, pensions and benefits available. There is a great hourly rate including an Iron Worker Pension; this is an excellent career opportunity. Signing bonuses are available for the right candidate. The job requires travelling to client sites and reporting to the Mississauga office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A LEAD HAND SERVICE TECHNICIAN:

Perform scheduled maintenance, service and installs
Diagnose and repair overhead doors and loading docks
Manage customer relationships, identifying opportunities to expand services provided
Work safely following all Safety protocols
Prepare accurate company documentation in a timely manner
Maintain stocked service vehicle at all times
Supervise, mentor, train and develop apprentices
Rotating on-call schedule for after-hours service calls

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ Years service experience in the Overhead Door & Dock Industry
Experience with High-Speed doors is an asset
Experience in the electrical aspect of the job is an asset
Be a team player
Have initiative
Strong interpersonal skills
Time management skills
Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
Mechanically inclined, troubleshooting skills
Driver's License with a clean abstract
Ability to handled physical workload
CWB Welder's Certification and experience is an asset (added hourly bonus with valid certification)
Working at Heights, Forklift and Scissor Lift Certifications are an asset
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
