Overview:
As a member of the Business Counsellor team, the Regional Indigenous Business Counsellor works with the Business Development Coordinator, Business Growth Advisors, PARO Management, and community partners to deliver trauma-informed business and employment development training and supports, as part of a comprehensive business development program that focuses on building sustainable livelihoods through business start-up and growth for women; and scaling up for women already in business.
Qualifications and Skills:
You have a Bachelor's Degree or higher, or equivalent, in Indigenous studies, Business Administration, Accounting and/or Education, or a related field
Experience with business planning and operations
Experience with group training and facilitation
Experience with coaching/counseling, and mentoring
Related business experience
Experience connecting and working with First Nation communities
Knowledge of women's issues, reconciliatory economics and approaches to business development, microfinance and community economic development are definite assets.
The ability to speak and write in Ojibwe is a definite asset
