The Position: Operations Supervisor

Location: Kwadacha, BC

Reports to: Operations Manager

Employment Type: Full-time - Shift Work

Start Date: TBD

This is a cross-shift position supporting the KNR Operations Manager. The Operations Supervisor will assist in managing field operations across KNR business lines, including sawmill and core box production, logging support, road maintenance, and other Nation infrastructure work. The successful candidate must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, while ensuring that crews are operating safely, effectively, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise crews and daily operations across KNR business units.
Coordinate production schedules, equipment deployment, and logistics.
Ensure safe, efficient work practices and compliance with all regulations.
Maintain regular communication with the Operations Manager, tracking and reporting performance metrics.
Support and mentor team members, helping to build internal capacity.
Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required.
Assist with planning and budgeting for operational needs.
Participate in hiring, training, and onboarding processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Grade 12 education
3-5 years of experience in an operations or supervisory role
Strong problem-solving, planning, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Working knowledge of forest operations, millwork, or road maintenance
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Comfortable with computers and reporting software

Additional Considerations

Preference will be given to qualified Kwadacha Band Members
The position requires regular travel to remote work sites and the community of Kwadacha
Relocation assistance may be available depending on the candidate's location
