Reporting to the R&O Manager, the technician will carry-out re-manufacturing and repair & overhaul activities on redeployable shelter systems. The role performs a variety of hands-on tasks working alongside other Team members.
Qualifications:
Ability to understand repair requirements and follow multi-step written processes / instructions.
Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
Understanding of engineering blueprints and relevant technical documents.
Must be safety conscious and follow all safety procedures.
Willing to be trained for and maintain a valid forklift operator license.
Ability to work independently or alongside others.
Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment is an asset.
Duties:
Ensure effective and safe use of equipment, facilities, tools.
Deploy, pack and clean shelters for inspection and shipping.
Follow time tracking procedures using supplied software.
Support implementation of 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices and methods.
Operate electric and pneumatic hand tools, - drills, grinders, saws, etc.
Repeatedly lift 50 lbs unaided. Occasionally lift 60 lbs with assistance, bending, crouching and standing for extended periods.
Perform miscellaneous other duties and projects as assigned and required.
