Job Overview and Responsibilities

Rutter Urban Forestry is seeking up to three ambitious people to join our team at the entry level. Common traits that we look for in team members are a strong desire for challenging physical work, a positive and polite disposition, a drive to learn and grow personally and professionally, and a focus on sensible safety. The following positions are being filled.

GROUNDPERSON

We are looking for detail oriented and hard-working individuals with an interest in trees and the tree care service industry. Knowledge or experience with the operation of heavy machinery, such as a wood chipper or front-end loader, is preferred. No previous experience is required, but a valid G-class driver's license is required. This position will have a dual role and responsibilities would be apportioned between each.

The successful candidate(s) will work directly under qualified arborists, performing ground duties integral to our day-to-day operations. Duties will include, brush dragging and chipping, raking and clean-up of job sites, running rigging ropes for qualified tree climbers, stump grinding, and contributing to a positive and safe work culture.
