Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Trailer Service Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing repairs, inspections and maintenance of recreational, boat and light duty commercial trailers.
Responsibilities
Removing, cleaning and servicing wheel bearings.
Diagnosing and repairing lighting and braking systems.
Replacing brake shoe and brake drum assemblies.
Removing, custom building and installing brake lines.
Replacing suspension including leaf springs, hangers etc.
Replacing axle assemblies.
Experience
Previous experience in automotive repair or a related field is an asset.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
Welding and Cutting Torch experience is an asset as well.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and prepared for new challenges as trailers don't follow set standards in construction and design.
The drive for unique and creative repair ideas is an asset.
This job requires you to be working inside and outside in all weather conditions. Trailers are primarily not hoisted and are repaired at ground level. We do everything related to the mechanical side of light duty commercial and recreational trailers. No two trailers ever seem to be the same and they require expanding thoughts for repair solutions. You have to open minded, creative and have the desire to work under these circumstances.

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
