Reporting to: Bar Services Supervisor/Club Manager

Job Description

The Bartender is responsible for ensuring that all Members and Guests enjoy superior beverage service and that expectations are exceeded within the Club standards. This position must demonstrate strong communication skills, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities:

Greet members & guests in a friendly and courteous manner
Complete the Opening Bar Checklist, ensuring that bar is set and stocked in full before guests arrive
Responsibly serve and prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, basic food service where required
Adhere to employee dress and represent the Club's values at all times.
Provide superior member service while maintaining a clean and neat bar area.
Ensure all actions are in compliance with the laws set forth by the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario
Handle member complaints and advise supervisor immediately
Accurately placing order through POS and ensuring proper closing procedures are followed
Maintain inventory of liquor, beer and wine to ensure par stock is always maintained
Communicate with the Bar Services Supervisor or Club Manager regarding supplies, cleaning and service
Help to champion Club events and promote various Club activities
Complete the bar closing procedures in full including proper accounting procedures and ensuring that the bar and associated areas are left clean, tidy and sanitized.

Qualifications:

SMARTSERVE Certification
Previous Bartending experience preferred, Knowledgeable of products offered, i.e. wine, liquor, beer and specialty beverages
Experience with Silverware POS
Good written and verbal communication skill
Customer service oriented
Good judgement and problem solving skills
Team player, professional and enthusiastic demeanor
Position may be indoors as well as outdoors

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
