Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled perimeter drainage lead hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience repairing & replacing perimeter drain systems, sewer lines & waterlines and a solid understanding of piping systems. This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead a team across a variety of piping projects, ensuring successful project execution and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to Detailed Instructions: Follow precise job instructions and scopes of work to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Manage Jobs for Profitability: Lead projects to successful completion while maximizing profitability.
Coordinate with Project Managers: Provide daily updates to project managers on job progress and address any issues as they arise.
Complete Daily Work Logs: Use an online app to fill out and complete daily work logs, and attach progress photos to document job advancements.
Excavate and Replace Systems: Perform excavation and replacement of perimeter drain systems, sewer lines, water lines, and other related systems.
Operate Mini Excavator: Safely operate a mini excavator on various job sites, handling projects of all sizes and types.
Work in Teams and Independently: Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently as required.
Participate in On-Call Rotation: Be available for on-call rotation to manage emergency after-hours jobs.
Install Piping Systems and Storm Sumps: Accurately install and maintain piping systems and storm sumps.
Utilize Drain Cleaning Equipment: Occasionally use drain cleaning equipment to service and maintain plumbing systems.
Maintain Physical Fitness: Stay physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including heavy lifting and strenuous activities.
Experience:
Mini Excavator Operation: Experience in operating mini excavators is highly desirable, but not 100% necessary.
Excavation and Trench Safety/Shoring: Proven experience in excavation and knowledge of trench safety and shoring practices is essential.
Piping, Drainage, and Sewer Systems: Strong understanding of piping, drainage, and sewer systems is required.
Truck and Trailer Driving: Experience with truck and trailer driving is a plus.
Crew and Job Leadership: Prior experience in leading crews and managing job sites is a plus.
Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license.
English Fluency: Fluency in English is required for effective communication.
