Established in 1875 , Montreal Stencil Inc. is a manufacturer of marking and identification products. Using a mixture of modern technology and old school know how we produce stenciling products, rubber stamps, signs, nameplates and self-adhesive labels from our facility in Saint-Laurent. We currently are looking for candidates willing to join our team in the role of Shipper/Receiver. The position is not limited strictly to packing and shipping. The candidate will also assist in production. If you like to keep things fresh by moving around during your work day then this is the position for you!

Performance Profile:

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Shipper/Receiver has the following responsibilities:

-Verify the goods ready to ship against the internal order;

-Prepare shipping slip and invoice using our accounting software;

-Wrap and pack the goods using packaging materials: boxes, kraft paper, bubble wrap etc ;

-Prepare the shipping documents and labels using the online software of various transportation companies: UPS, Purolator, GLS-Dicom, Fedex, Post Canada;

-Prepare any other shipping documents: commercial invoice, customs forms, certificates of compliance;

-Provide tracking information to office staff on deliveries;

-Receive shipments from transport companies and route them to the correct department;

-Maintain the inventory of packaging supplies;

-_ General labour in our print and sign production department when there are no shipping tasks. _

Requested skills:

-General knowledge of PC computer: Windows, Word, Office 365;

-3 years experience in a similar position an asset;

-Able to lift 50lbs (22kg);

-Desire to work in a team and assist other departments as needed;

-Willingness to learn new skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
