Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Front-End Loader Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently operate front-end loaders to move raw sugar and other materials. This role plays a key part in maintaining production flow, cleanliness, and safe operations.

As part of this role, the successful candidate may be selected for training as a part-time crane operator , assisting with unloading sugar vessels as part of our logistics team

Responsibilities

Operate front-end loaders to transport sugar and other materials around the refinery
Load and unload trucks, hoppers, and storage areas as needed.
Maintain safe operation of all heavy equipment in accordance with site safety policies and manufacturer guidelines.
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Assist with cleaning, spill response, and general duties to ensure a tidy and compliant work environment.
Record daily activities and equipment use logs accurately.
Collaborate with other operations and logistics staff to ensure efficient material flow.
Adhere strictly to all safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Additional Responsibilities (Crane Training Path):

Participate in training programs for operating bulk handling cranes.
Assist in unloading raw sugar vessels during assigned shifts (typically part-time or seasonal).
Learn vessel unloading procedures, crane safety standards, and proper coordination with dock teams

Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience operating front-end loaders in an industrial, agricultural, or construction setting.
Valid equipment operator certification (or willingness to obtain one).
Experience in food handling or sugar processing industries is a plus.
Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail, communication, and safety awareness.
Willingness to participate in further equipment training, including cranes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $24.30 per hour
