We are seeking a talented, experienced, and compassionate Dog & Cat Groomer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a variety of breed-specific cuts, comfortable with both canine and feline grooming, and possess exceptional customer service skills. You will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services, ensuring the comfort and safety of our animal clients, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities:
Perform full-service grooming for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, including bathing, drying, brushing, de-shedding, dematting, clipping, scissoring, nail trims, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression (if trained and comfortable).
Consult with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences, address any concerns, and provide expert advice on coat care and maintenance.
Assess the pet's coat and skin condition, identifying any potential issues and communicating them to the owner and/or management.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized grooming station and work area, adhering to all sanitation and safety protocols.
Handle pets with patience, kindness, and a gentle touch, prioritizing their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process.
Recognize and address signs of stress or discomfort in pets, adjusting grooming techniques as needed.
Accurately complete grooming records and update client files.
Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, colleagues, and management.
Assist with other salon duties as needed, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining common areas.
Stay updated on current grooming trends, techniques, and pet care best practices.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-3 years of professional dog and cat grooming experience in a salon setting.
Demonstrable portfolio or strong references showcasing a wide range of grooming styles and techniques.
Proficiency in handling various breeds and temperaments of dogs and cats.
Certification from a recognized grooming academy or equivalent on-the-job training is a strong asset.
Knowledge of animal behavior, health, and common grooming-related conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle active animals safely.
Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
Passion for animals and a genuine desire to provide exceptional care.
