Full-time and Part-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist position available. Must have CAMRT, registered under CMRITO, and BLS provider training.

Great opportunity to work in a large established Centre with a dynamic multidisciplinary team. We have 16 physicians; 9 Cardiologist and 5 Cardiac Internist, 1 Nuclear Medicine Physician, and an Endocrinologist.
Duties:
Provide patients with accurate description of procedures to obtain informed consent
Respond to a variety of patient needs while maintaining confidentiality of information and respecting privacy and dignity
Apply radiation safety principles to protect patients, technologists, staff, and the general public
Perform daily, weekly & monthly quality control procedures on imaging and non-imaging equipment in the Nuclear Medicine department
Prepare, calculate and administer radiopharmaceuticals while maintaining accurate dispensing logs
Acquire, process and archive routine Nuclear Medicine SPECT imaging studies
Storage and disposal of radioactive materials in accordance with department regulations
Assess requisitions for accuracy of details, appropriateness of procedures
Apply sterile technique to perform intravenous insertion
Provide detailed pre-test instructions according to the Nuclear Cardiology Procedures
Organize and replenish medical stock
