Position Overview :

We are currently seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join our caring and dedicated team. As a Dental Assistant, you will support our team in long term care and retirement homes throughout the GTA, working alongside our Dentists and Care Support Assistant. This role involves traveling with the dental team to various facilities, providing assistance, and ensuring the smooth delivery of dental care.

We are seeking compassionate individuals who will take pride in providing essential support and assistance to seniors, including those with dementia. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Workday starts and finishes at our office at 2171 Avenue Road.

Start time: 8am

End time: 4-6pm (typically, sometimes our days are shorter and we finish earlier in the afternoon)

Responsibilities:
Travel with the Dentist and Care Support Assistant to facilities throughout the Greater Toronto Area
Assist the dental team in delivering care to patients in long term care and retirement homes.
Provide support and assistance during dental procedures
Ensure the comfort and well-being of patients throughout their dental appointments
Collaborate effectively with the dentist to maintain a high standard of patient care.
Assist with administrative duties related to the delivery of care.

Skills:
Previous experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is preferred.
Strong caregiving skills and a genuine desire to help others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Strong attention to detail and administrative abilities.
Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus.
