We are hiring a full-time, permanent individual to join our team in the Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo region for the position of Construction Coordinator who will provide overall management of all field deliverable telecommunications and cabling projects.

The position:

The Construction Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and consulting services on our projects including voice & data cable plant, fiber, copper, outside plant, structured cabling systems, and wireless systems. Other duties include:

Supervising and coordinating all field activities of the project's scope.

Assisting estimator with the project quoting process.

Assisting project leads and estimators with the required of bills of materials.

Scheduling field technicians and monitoring progress.

Assigning, reassigning, and closing calls in customer specific systems.

Attending project status meetings.

Providing updates on job status and completion dates with our Customer Construction Managers and IT groups.

Conducting ongoing project audits to ensure compliance with PCS procedures and client specifications.

QA / QC on all field activities related to Project Scope.

Responsible for overall project ensuring we remain in budget and on schedule.

What we need from you:

Minimum of 4+ years' experience in an operational role.

Experience working in OSP infrastructure projects.

Safety conscious individual.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) with OSP specialty and / or Communication Technician Journeyman, an asset.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.

Knowledge of Project Information Management Tools and PDF Software applications.

Valid driver's license.
