Custom Fire & Sprinkler Services is seeking a highly experienced Technical Director with extensive expertise in fire protection and sprinkler systems. This role demands a seasoned professional to lead our technical operations, ensuring excellence in system design, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes, local fire regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with the operations team to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance service quality.
Mentor and train technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver customized fire protection solutions.
Travel requirements may include the use of a company vehicle for road days.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in fire protection and sprinkler services with proven technical leadership.
Strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems, including sprinklers, fire alarms, and suppression systems.
In-depth understanding of NFPA codes, local fire regulations, and industry standards.
Proven leadership and management abilities in overseeing technical teams and complex projects.
Relevant certifications such as CFAA, Sprinkler and Fire Protection Installer (Certificate of Qualification), or equivalent are strongly preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues within fire protection systems.
Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including working with tools, climbing ladders, and accessing confined spaces.
High attention to detail in ensuring proper installation and functionality of fire protection systems.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
A customer-focused approach to delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong client relationships.
