VBG Distributors is a smaller specialty COR certified construction company. We provide and install specialty finish construction materials; this includes, but is not limited to window coverings, window films, wall protection, draperies and other specialty items.

Position Description:

The suitable candidate must have a professional attitude and represent VBG to the highest standards. We work in occupied spaces and have a zero tolerance policy for swearing/vulgarity. All rules and regulations of the company and COR standard must be followed at all times.

The installer will be trained on all aspects of window covering/graphics installs.

Any one or combination of: blind/draperies install, window tint, graphics installation, car tinting experience will be considered an asset.

Qualifications - Mandatory:
- Construction experience

- PPE: Steel toe shoes & hard hat. (other PPE provided)

- Experience with hand tools. (Electric drills, saws, caulking guns)

- Valid Driver's License with good driving record. Must have a means of transport to and from the job site. Job sites we attend to may NOT be on a bus route

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Must be able to work overtime/out of town as needed. This includes trips up to 10 days out of Winnipeg.

Basic computer skills including a phone with data. The ability to learn new software programs and applications quickly and efficiently

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to do standing for long periods of time.

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Qualifications - Assets

- Ability to read constructions plans

- Safety Training (i.e.: Working at heights/Fall protection)

- Scaffolding set up

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
