We are seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Worker with strong leadership capabilities to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-quality metal roofing, custom flashing fabrication, soldering, and the installation of skylights and associated flashings. This role also includes team management responsibilities, requiring someone who can lead by example on complex roofing and restoration projects.

You will play a key role in preserving architectural integrity through detailed restoration work while also contributing to new high-end custom builds. Your expertise will help ensure we consistently deliver precision craftsmanship that meets and exceeds our clients' expectations

This position is for experienced professionals only . General labouring experience does not qualify as relevant experience for this role. Applicants without specific, relevant experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the daily operations of a small team of sheet metal workers and apprentices on roofing and restoration projects.
Install and solder high-end metal roofing systems (including copper, zinc, and steel).
Design and fabricate custom skylight flashings, collector boxes, and other bespoke sheet metal components.
Accurately interpret and work from blueprints, architectural drawings, and technical specifications.
Restore and repair sheet metal components on historical and heritage buildings with accuracy and sensitivity to original construction.
Ensure all installations meet building codes, safety regulations, and the company's quality standards.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
Train and mentor junior team members and apprentices as needed.

Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal work, with a strong focus on high-quality roofing systems, skylights, and restoration.
Proven ability to lead a crew and manage job site productivity and workflow.
Advanced soldering skills, particularly with copper and similar architectural metals.
Deep understanding of both traditional craftsmanship and modern metalworking techniques.
Ability to custom-fabricate complex flashings and roofing accessories from raw material.
Proficiency with standard metalworking tools and machinery.
Strong reading comprehension of architectural plans and construction documentation.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in craftsmanship.
Physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks in various outdoor conditions.
Valid G Class driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
