Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join lead our Kamloops location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and restaurant management, with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety, and leading a team of culinary professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Plan and create innovative menu items that reflect current food trends while maintaining quality standards.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to maximize profitability.
Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff to enhance their skills and maintain high performance levels.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of kitchen staff, providing feedback and support as needed.
Implement new recipes and techniques to improve efficiency and quality in food preparation.
Experience
Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a chef or kitchen management role.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management within a restaurant setting.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and guests.
