Labourer - Shallow Utility Worker

Location: Lacombe, AB and Surrounding Areas

Salary: $20.00-$28.00 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking motivated and reliable Labourers specializing in shallow utility work to join our team! You'll be instrumental in building and installing underground infrastructure for shallow utilities. This hands-on role involves a variety of tasks, from hand-exposing utilities and installing service vaults to backfilling and landscaping.

Key Responsibilities
Install surface-mounted utility infrastructure
Hand digging with shovels, raking, and sweeping
Conduit tie-ins and cable pulling
Spotting for backhoes, excavators, and Hydrovacs
Setting and installing utility vaults and pedestals
Backfilling and compacting utility excavations
Landscaping and site restoration
Driving pick-up trucks and towing trailers
Equipment maintenance and inspections

Knowledge and Skills
Ability to tow large trailers and drive large equipment in congested areas
Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Capable of performing strenuous tasks with your hands, including kneeling, bending, and lifting heavy materials
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and adapt to changing schedules and job requirements

Qualifications
2 years of relevant experience (preferred)
Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driver's abstract
CSTS 2020 certification
