Patient Support Team
Location: Remote (Calgary, Alberta)

Background:

Euclid Telehealth is currently looking for a Patient Support Team with a passion for customer service in healthcare, be able to provide an exceptional patient experience, and has an enjoyment of technology, to provide patients with a caring experience about their ocular health. The Patient Support Team is the first interaction patients encounter (frontline) and are responsible for carrying out duties in a way that embodies the values of caring, excellence, initiative, and teamwork, while achieving business objectives.

We believe every Canadian should have access to the specialized medical expertise that can preserve their vision for as long as possible. At Euclid Telehealth, we focus on eye disease screening for the leading causes of vision loss and blindness, such as: glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and others. Our mission is to provide ocular health screening to everyone and ultimately eliminate preventable vision loss and blindness through the early detection of eye disease, by providing expert Ophthalmic care in a convenient, modern way.

Patient Support Team - Tasks and responsibilities

Your responsibilities as Patient Support Team will include, inter alia:

Providing superior patient care and customer service, including ensuring seamless appointment bookings.
Answer incoming calls, respond to voicemail messages, and direct calls to appropriate staff when necessary.
Maximize telephone calls for appointment bookings, filling all upcoming clinic days with eye disease screening appointments and ocular disease screening appointments, including asking Pre-Assessment questions, etc.
Appointment Reminders: Voice, SMS, Email reminders (1 month/1 week ahead/2 days)
Responsible for fully booking upcoming clinic days.
Euclid Telehealth Online bookings: calls patient, confirms appointment, obtains patient demographics.
Transmit correspondence by mail, e-mail, or fax.
Operate office equipment such as EyeVu (EMR), voice mail messaging systems (3CX), and use word processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications to prepare letters, etc.
Participate in weekly Euclid Team Huddle and Medical Review Meetings on a regular basis.
Other duties as assigned.

What your background is:

Demonstrated excellent customer/patient service.
2+ years of experience, ideally healthcare industry, or other patient care setting
Experience in an ophthalmological or optometric setting is valuable but not required.
High School Graduate, Office Administration Certificate an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook.
Legally able to work in Canada.
