Responsibilities:
The Assistant Project Manager provides full time support to the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Manager and frequently interacts with the clients, consultants and contractors. S/he is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of our services are being delivered to the highest level to ensure client satisfaction.
This position will be largely focused on mitigation and abatement projects; dealing with emergencies, remediation, and abatement
Assessment of environmental hazards (mould, asbestos)
Estimation of mitigation, abatement, and construction services required
Obtaining approval for all work and sub trades and any work orders that require revision
Scheduling and organization of projects to minimize interruption to the client
Preparation and maintenance of project timelines
Coordinate the care of client belongings during the restoration process
Coordinate material selections and order as required
Management of sub trades within budgetary and quality guidelines
Ensure that the worksite is clean and follows safety guidelines
Preparation and correction of project deficiencies
Completion of site walk through and obtaining clients approval and sign off
Daily / weekly reporting on job progress, problems and solutions
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of two years work experience in construction/restoration industry (preferred)
IICRC training considered an asset (WRT, FSRT)
Proficient software skills - Microsoft office suite, Xactimate and Xactanalysis
Strong knowledge of residential/commercial construction techniques and current building codes
Ability to work in a team
Ability to multitask
Strong problem solving skills
Must be available to be on call evenings and weekends (on rotation)

Pay: From $45,760.00 per year
