Now Hiring: Experienced Crane Operator / Material Handler - Rebar Fabrication

Are you an experienced overhead crane operator who knows the ins and outs of safely and efficiently handling heavy steel?
Do you understand how to build, balance, and secure rebar loads on trailers for transport?

We're looking for a mature, safety-focused professional to join our team at Kit Steel in Niagara. Your primary role will be operating our overhead crane and handling materials , ensuring our loads are built right the first time and our production floor stays on schedule.

Position Details:

Full-Time - Friday to Sunday (3 x 12-hour shifts = 36 hours/week)
Work in our indoor rebar fabrication shop alongside an experienced team

Key Responsibilities:

Operate overhead crane to move and position rebar safely and efficiently
Build and secure rebar loads on trailers to meet quality, safety, and transport standards
Load/unload trucks and stage material for production
Operate forklifts and shunt truck to move trailers in and around the yard/shop
Assist with general shop duties as required

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as an overhead crane operator in a steel, fabrication, or industrial setting
Strong understanding of load balance, weight distribution, and securing methods for rebar or similar materials
Safety-first mindset and excellent situational awareness
Forklift experience (shunt truck operation an asset)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
