Our success is built on the strength of our team - collaborative, driven, and committed to excellence. We foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and integrity, and we're proud of the strong, lasting relationships we've built with our customers and supply partners.
As our company continues to grow, both in Canada, USA, Australia and across Latin America, we are looking to hire a Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations, manage supply chain strategy, and support the Director of Operations and Supply Partners. This is a highly impactful role that will help shape the evolution of our procurement team, supplier network, and internal processes.
About the Role:
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading all procurement activities for our Canadian and Latin American operations. Working closely with internal departments and external vendors, this role oversees sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and strategic material planning for both standard and custom-engineered components-including high-complexity castings and patterns.
You'll serve as the key point of contact for our Director of Operations and Supply Partners and be instrumental in building a proactive, scalable, and responsive purchasing function that supports both day-to-day execution and long-term growth.

Champion supply chain risk mitigation and continuity planning.
Team Leadership & Development
Provide oversight and mentorship to the purchasing team; serve as the lead procurement expert and primary point of escalation.
Define departmental goals and performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with broader operational strategies.
Support the professional development of buyers and procurement staff, and establish scalable processes for a growing team.
Operational Excellence
Oversee procurement activity in the Syteline ERP system, including supplier onboarding, PO management, and delivery tracking.
Monitor open orders, lead expediting efforts, and maintain visibility into material status to support production and project timelines.
Support the coordination of materials and components between Canadian, American, Australian and LATAM operations.
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Sales to forecast material needs and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
Ensure timely resolution of invoice discrepancies and work with Accounts Payable to maintain accurate purchasing records.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Design Engineering to understand custom and engineered-to-order requirements.
Interpret technical drawings and specs to ensure correct procurement of critical components.
Partner with internal stakeholders to support new product introductions (NPIs), repairs, and after-market solutions.
Contribute to documentation of procurement procedures in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Required Competencies:
10+ years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
Proven experience in a manufacturing or OEM environment, preferably involving castings, machining, or custom-engineered components.
Strong understanding of supply chain strategy, supplier development, and cost management.
Proficiency in ERP systems (Syteline preferred) and Microsoft Office.
