About the Role We're currently hiring a Dock Supervisor for our Cranbrook terminal . This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing dock operations, managing freight flow, and leading a hardworking team. Supervise dock staff and manage day-to-day operations
Coordinate loading and unloading of 5-ton trucks and 53' trailers
Maintain an efficient and safe flow of freight through the dock
Ensure proper freight documentation and placement
Provide training and guidance on safety procedures and dock protocols
Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and drivers to streamline operations
Monitor dock equipment and coordinate repairs or maintenance as needed

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a dock or warehouse environment
Previous supervisory or team lead experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations is an asset - certification can be provided if needed
WHMIS certification is an asset
Forklift license/certification is an asset
Familiarity with cross-docking, temporary dock setups, and efficient freight flow
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment
Solid understanding of safety procedures and freight documentation (e.g. BOLs)
Basic experience with scanners or logistics systems is a plus
